Super exciting news – FBL mold!!!

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Copied from blythedoll.com:

New face mold available soon!

We are very happy to announce that a new face mold will be available soon!
The mold is named “Fairest” because of its innocent and pure look.
The mold being developed is inspired by the old “Excellent” mold, and it will have eyes with large pupils and a little bit chubby cheeks like “Excellent” mold.

The skin texture will be more “semi matte” than the “Radiance” skin.

Which lovely Blythe doll will have this new face mold?

I’m really so excited – I just love ebls, they’re so sweet. I can’t help but be a little cautious about this, because SBL was so vile, but then again they did wonderfully with RBL so I should have a little more faith. From the sounds of it, they’re going for something like the early BLs. However, I’m sure it will be shiny. :P Every time they make a new mold they say it will be matte – it never is. And I don’t really get the large pupils, she’ll look more like she’s on drugs than innocent? Oh well! Can’t wait!

Pose doll makeover

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

I stumbled upon this pose doll on ebay some time ago, and loved her gorgeous hair. I was hoping there would be a proper body under her original outfit so I could restyle her – and there was! So here she is, I just love her.

And this is her before, she was supposed to be Betsy Ross. :-S x 13

So cute! I love the blonde.

I love that they keep making kimono girls, but not too keen on these ones.

Long time no see

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

October was a busy busy month. As soon as I rerurned from Japan, I moved to a new house and I never imagined it would be so much work. It’s literally the first time in my life I have a big room, and all to myself. The light is wonderful too, and we have a view of the Gherkin.

One of the things I was mostly excited about was displaying my collection, as now I have the space for that. All crammed in small shelves and boxes in my previous room, it surely looked about 1/5th the size it actually is. I quickly ran out of space on the shelves I made and I still have the japanese dolls and the tiny ones to go, plus some more big eyed art and vintage ads. It will have to wait now though, I have a lot of work to do and some tight deadlines.

I still have some pictures from Japan to post too! Later!
