Sewing commissions

Monday, March 30th, 2009

I received many commission requests, thank you so much! I will stop taking any more for now, and might re-open when I’m finished with this first batch. I’ll make an announcement if so!

I’m currently sewing to fill a huuuge order, and I always like to make more of something instead of one. So if you’ve missed any of the following, here’s a chance to order them now. Please allow a couple weeks for me to make them. You can drop me a line at stadtkind at gmail dot com ^_^

I made my Licca Club ’67 her first dress.

I really love fluorescent colours in vintage fabrics. And these repro Liccas are really wonderful. I would love to get a few more but they’ve become really quite popular and expensive lately…

Carousel and the Sacr

Julien Martinez

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

I attended a little doll show in Paris last weekend. One of my most favourite artists ever, Julien Martinez was showing some work and I couldn’t miss the chance to see it in person.

I admire his talent and imagination so much, the craftsmanship and details are unbelievable. The wonderful clothes are also made by him using antique lace and fabrics. He was also a very sweet and warm person.

Lately he has started working with Blythe and Dal, and what he does is so extreme it doesn’t even register as customization in my opinion, it goes far beyond. The Dal he had for sale at the show won my heart at first sight, and if I’d had the money I would have bought her immediately. I think about her all the time. ;___;

My beautiful friend Georgia was photographed by Rankin with her dolly Esme in Poupee Mecanique. Check her flickr here to see her pretty customs and her uncensored tata if you so wish.
