I found this antique Frister & Rossmann machine for very cheap. It’s from around 1937. I had to get it because it’s the machine used in Paradise Kiss. ^_^ But it seems to work perfectly so I think I’ll be using it for human clothes. It’s incredibly beautiful and incredibly heavy.
Lalabel is one of my favourite anime series from my childhood. We were lucky in Greece to get wonderful vintage anime in the 80s and early 90s. All of my generation has grown up with Candy Candy, Sandybelle, Ribbon no kishi, Igano Kabamaru and more.
I used to rent Lalabel on videotape and was obsessed with her magical abilities, especially the pendant. This was one of my best finds in my last Tokyo trip.
Series like these are hard to find, sometimes even in Japan. Candy Candy for example was never released on DVD and never will be, because of copyright issues. Countries like France, Spain and Italy usually have DVDs of such vintage anime but dubbed. In Greece of course no one cares to release this stuff, so they only come up when someone digs up an old tape, rips it and puts it on the internet. I hope to eventually be able to compile everything.
