Paris for a day

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Was it extremely naive of me to think Versailles was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by green and nothing else? I couldn’t believe the sight of the real thing. I have no words to express how much I hate the times we’re living in. :( I want to withdraw from everything and create my own reality to live in, like Ludwig II of Bavaria. Only difference is, he was a king and stuff.

Carousel and the Sacr

Julien Martinez

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

I attended a little doll show in Paris last weekend. One of my most favourite artists ever, Julien Martinez was showing some work and I couldn’t miss the chance to see it in person.

I admire his talent and imagination so much, the craftsmanship and details are unbelievable. The wonderful clothes are also made by him using antique lace and fabrics. He was also a very sweet and warm person.

Lately he has started working with Blythe and Dal, and what he does is so extreme it doesn’t even register as customization in my opinion, it goes far beyond. The Dal he had for sale at the show won my heart at first sight, and if I’d had the money I would have bought her immediately. I think about her all the time. ;___;
